Energy consumption is displayed on the dashboard and is re-calculated as you drive. It is different to the WLTP-rated consumption (which measures power from the mains).
This number is estimated by comparing the usable battery capacity against the WLTP range.
The maximum speed the EV can charge at home or a public AC charger.
An EV has a built-in charger that converts household AC electricity into DC current that goes into the battery.
This limits the maximum speed you can charge at home - no matter what extra equipment you install. Some public chargers (such as at motor camps and shopping malls) are also AC only.
Fast Charge ⚡
The maximum speed the EV can charge at a DC fast charger.
Speed is limited by the capacity of the charger.
In NZ, fast chargers are typically 25 kW, 50 kW, 100 kW, 175 kW, and 300 kW.
Cold temperatures and the vehicle's charging curve also dictate peak speed (i.e. a warm battery at a lower state-of-charge will charge quicker).
The Polestar 4 is a fully electric SUV coupé, designed with exceptional aerodynamic efficiency. Quicker than the Polestar 2 or 3, it has a unique absence of a rear window – replaced by a rear-facing camera.
All models include the Plus pack by default:
The car is equipped with a Harman Kardon Premium Sound system for audio. Its seats offer full power adjustments, including 4-way power lumbar support, mechanical extension, and backrest storage nets. Heating features are available for the steering wheel, front and rear seats, and windscreen wiper nozzles. Decor elements include Zinc deco and Star knit illuminated deco.
The car features advanced displays, including a 14.7” head-up display (HUD) with “Snow mode” and a 5.7” rear control and entertainment screen for media and climate control. Climate control is managed through a 3-zone system, and a Clean Zone with an air quality PM2.5 sensor and filter is incorporated. Headlights are Pixel LED with Adaptive High Beam functionality. The tailgate operates with power assistance, featuring soft closing and a foot sensor. Other features include a power-adjustable steering column, frameless auto-dimming exterior mirrors, and AC charging capability of up to 22kW (only with Plus pack).
