Omoda E5
The Omoda E5 is a fully electric small SUV that went on sale in New Zealand in June 2024. Two variants are available, the BX and EX, priced from $40,990 to $44,990.
Both variants have a WLTP range of 430 km, from a battery of around 60.9 kWh.
Omoda E5 BX (2024)
Omoda E5 BXA slight change was made to the model in mid 2025 - a change of battery supplier (capacity from 61 to 58.9 kWh - but the same range). AC charger (from 9.9 to 10.3 kW). Power (from 150 to 155 kW), and Torque (from 340 to 288 Nm).
NOTE: V2L: There are conflicting reports of the absence/presence of V2L functionality. While advertised on the Omoda E5 in Malaysia, the NZ version makes no claims - despite some owners managing to use a V2L feature on the car. For this reason it is listed as NOT having V2L on this page.

Omoda E5 EXThe EX adds the following trim: heated steering wheel, ambient lighting, synthetic leather seats, 6-way power driver's seat, 4-way power passenger seat, front heated and ventilated seats, power tailgate and sunroof.
