There have been 326 Volvo EVs registered in New Zealand. This includes both NZ new and used imports.
Background
Volvo is a Swedish automotive company that was founded in 1927. Volvo is known for its safety features and has been ranked as the world’s safest car brand. Volvo is owned by the Chinese company Geely.
In 2019, Volvo released its first all-electric car in Europe, the XC40 Recharge. Volvo NZ did not take orders for this until mid-late 2022.
